5.-
Who can resend to me my old registration code? -

To update
or unlock your current version of the game, you will need your personal
"registration code". But what can you do if you lose it?
All registration codes are generated by the distribution companies
and they can´t share their customer data with nobody (me neither).
I mean I do not have your old registration code and if you can´t
contact with the company that sold you in the past, you will have
to purchase another one.
So, to recover your old registration code, you need to contact with
the company that sold you the game to ask them for a resend of your
registration data.
Today
Bloobs is distributed by a company called ShareIt! www.shareit.com
(since september 2000). If you purchased the game Bloobs before that
time (sept. 2000), you will have to remember which of these 2 companies
sold you the game and contact with them to ask them for your registration
data:
- Ultisoft www.ultisoft.com
- Or RealNetworks www.real.com/games
Remember that only the company that sold you the game will have your
personal "registration code" saved in their files.
6.-
How can I upgrade my old version of the game to the latest one? -

To update,
just download the installation file of the latest version from the
game web site www.bloobs.com and install
it. You can install it in the same directory than the previous version
or not and keep both versions.
Also, you will need to enter you old registration code (it could work),
but all registration codes are generated by the distribution companies
and they can´t share their customer data with nobody (me neither).
I mean I do not have your old registration code and if you can´t
contact with the company that sold you in the past, you will have

Where is the game icon to run the game after installation? -

After
installation you will not find a game icon in your computer desktop
and if you run the downloaded file "bloobs209.exe" you will
run the installation program again and again.
To play the game, you will have to go to the windows´ "Start"
button (in the bottom-left corner of the screen), click on "Programs"
and then you will see a group called "Bloobs".
Click on it and you will see a yellow&red dice icon like this
.
This dice is the icon you have to click to start the game.
Trick: If you want to create a shorcut in your computer desktop, just
drag & drop this icon with the right button in your mouse to the
computer desktop and select "create shorcut" in the popup
menu displayed.
8.-
How can I solve the message "corrupt installation"? -

That
error message is due to a broken download. Sometimes downloading software
from internet, the conection with the remote server is broken and
the file you are currently downloading is partially saved in your
computer.
Obviously, that file can´t work properly because it lacks of
information.
To solve this problem, in the game web site www.bloobs.com
you can find up to 3 different alternative servers to download the
game.
You need to donwload the whole installation file (bloobs209.exe 1619KB)
in order to setup the game properly.
I suggest you try with a different alternative server because some
regions in the world can experience problems downloading from servers
too far away (this is the reason why I distribute the game from alternative
servers).
PD: There are utility programs to help your computer in this tasks.
You can install "GetRight" or "Gozilla" (search
for them in your favourite internet search web page yahoo, excite,
lycos, google, ....) to ensure your downloads. This programs are able
to resume a boken download so you can´t to start to download
from the beginning in case of a broken file.
9.-
What´s wrong in the right side of the screen? -

Are
you experiencing this problem in your computer?

Don´t worry, Bloobs only works with the "font
size" display option of your computer set to its windows default
value = normal size 96 dpi.
Probably, you set this option to "big fonts" 128 dpi and
the game doesn´t work if you change this option.
To change this option, just go to controlPanel->display->properties->settings->font
size (some vga drivers have this option under a button called "Advanced").
Just set it to "normal size" (96 dpi) and try to play again.
10.-
Does the game work on Windows NT, Windows 2000 or Windows XP? -

Latest
version of the game Bloobs 2.09 works without problems under windows
NT, 2000, or windows XP.
But previous versions (Bloobs 2.05, Bloobs 2.0, etc...) didn´t
work under those operating systems and they produced an error message
like "RunTime error: 6" (and other codes).
If you
get an error of the same kind, I suggest you upgrade to the latest
version and try to play again.
11.-
Does the game work under AMD processors? -

The
game Bloobs has an unresolved problem under AMD K6 processors family.
The game Bloobs was developed optimized to run under Intel Pentium
processors and the K6 family products hasn´t 100% compatibles
and produces an unresolved "Runtime error"
There is no fix for this problem and I suggest to upgrade to AMD K7
family (they are fully tested under Bloobs) or to Intel Pentium.
12.-
Does the game work under 3Dfx vga cards? -

Some
users have experienced problems playing under certain 3Dfx vga cards.
The problem is a very slow an unplayable game.
Some
users have solved this problem disabling the "hardware acceleration"
windows option, but this trick has failed with others.
To disable
the "hardware acceleration" go to ControlPanel->System->properties->Performance->Graphics.
Here you will find a "Hardware acceleration" gauge. Move
it to "none".
If this trick solve your "slow motion" problem, please let
me know your current 3Dfx vga card model to add it to my hardware
database to try to help other users.
